Dock Wilburn Gourley

Dock Wilburn “Doc” Gourley was born in 1857 and died in 1918. He was a former Texas Ranger and was elected sheriff five times, serving ten years. His nephew “Newt” Gourly would also serve as a Brewster County Sheriff.
