The Old Sheriffs Museum and Research Center Seeks Artifacts, Volunteers, and Financial Donations

Fort Davis, Texas: The Old Sheriffs Museum and Research Center is now accepting donations, artifacts for display, and volunteers who are interested in law enforcement history in West Texas.

With over a century of history connecting the tri-county area sheriffs and their deputies, the museum researchers are busy gathering stories and personal items to showcase, and need your help to fund and find more. Those interested in the history of Jeff Davis County, Presidio County, and Brewster County law enforcement and want to help with research, documenting histories, and implementing displays are welcome to volunteer and join the museum. Contact info@TheOldSheriffsMuseum.org to learn about volunteer opportunities.

Donations can be accepted by check to The Old Sheriffs Museum, PO Box 1035, Fort Davis, TX 79734.

Located next to the Jeff Davis County Courthouse, the recently refurbished Old Jail will house exhibits, archives, and memorabilia. The Old Sheriffs Museum is developing exhibits to display donated items and artifacts documenting the history of sheriffs in West Texas.

For those interested in sharing their own stories or family history as sheriffs or deputies in Brewster, Jeff Davis, or Presidio counties, please contact The Old Sheriffs Museum and Research Center project on the website at TheOldSheriffsMuseum.org or info@TheOldSheriffsMuseum.org.
